Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Manajemen Perhotelan undergo a similarity check using Turnitin. The screening is conducted before peer review and may be repeated before publication.

Similarity Thresholds

The overall similarity index must not exceed 20%, and similarity against any single source must not exceed 5%. Properly cited direct quotations, standard methodological expressions, instrument items, and the reference list may be excluded when the similarity report is assessed.

Editorial Action

Manuscripts that exceed the applicable similarity threshold may be returned to the authors for revision. If the similarity report indicates plagiarism or other forms of inappropriate text reuse, the manuscript may be rejected. For articles that have already been published, suspected plagiarism is handled in accordance with the Research Misconduct, Correction, and Retraction Policy.

Self-Plagiarism

Authors must properly cite their own previously published work when reusing text, data, figures, or other materials. Uncited or inappropriate reuse of previously published material may be considered self-plagiarism. The editorial team may also assess excessive or unjustified self-citation and may request revision when necessary.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cited. Authors are encouraged to conduct a similarity check before submission. The similarity report generated by the journal is retained as part of the editorial record. Where necessary, the report may be shared with the authors' institution as part of an investigation into research integrity or suspected misconduct.
